Changes at EaglesFanCast

Here at the blog, we have mostly maintained it as a Show Notes repository for the podcast.  The podcast has been great, and our numbers have been growing.  We have been getting some amazing feedback in both email and voicemails, and it’s great to see the reach that the podcast has.  We have people listening and interacting from all over the country and internationally as well.

When we started this, we figured most people would be Eagles fans from within the Philadelphia region.  Now it appears that half of our listenership is outside this area.  The feedback we have received also shows that our listeners appreciate the fan-sided approach of what we do.  That is intentional, as none of us are sports analysts, nor have aspirations to be.  It’s good to see that what we are doing is coming out as planned.  We really are Eagles fans, and we have a podcast talking about it… it really is that simple.

But we want more for this project.  From the beginning we wanted other fans to be part of this.  We started with email, and allowing comments on this blog site.  Not too long after, we opened a voicemail line, and have received some great and passionate voicemails that emails just cannot convey.  A few months ago we started recording our shows live on, so there can be a real-time chat room and you can interact with us, plus inject comments right into our show.  That has been a great experience for us, and one or all three of us have hung out in the chat room before and after the recording talking about the Eagles, the show and just about anything.

We wanted this site to take another step further, and give another angle of being an Eagles Fan.  You have all heard the three of us banter on for 79 shows about our fandom.  So we reached out to a few loyal listeners and those that have written in with some great content.  We wanted to get the opinions not just from an email, we wanted real thoughts to post on the site.

We are very happy to announce that the first new contributor to our site is Holden Fulco.  You have heard us read his emails on the air many times, and may have seen him in the chat room as well.  Holden lives in the Super Bowl state of Louisiana, surrounded by elated Saints fans.  Holden is very excited to be a part of EaglesFanCast, and we welcome him to our little addiction.

Look for Holden’s first post soon right here!

As always we welcome feedback and suggestions on everything EFC.  Look for more site updates and changes, and even more contributors in the coming months.
